| Your basic problem is that you dont have enough lighting. Two options come to mind;
1. Up grade your lighting, like last week ago. Anemones need intense lighting. If your planing on staying with the 30g, you could try getting a MH Pendant of 150w or a JBJ K-2 Viper HQI Clamp on Lamp Lighting Fixture
2. Return them to the LFS or ask a friend who has enough lighting to hold them for you as you up grade your lighting. | Went to the LFS today. He won't trade the anemone. Just bought him, so not going to just give away. He didn't have any lights in. We are going to have to order online, I guess. Any suggestions on what kind or where from is best? My brother has a 55 gal that has been setup way longer than mine. He said he would trade the carpet for some of his corals. We don't have anyone that wants the rock anemone. I guess we'll just have to keep him. If he starts to die, we'll take him out. Not alot of money invested in that one. |

| Also, both damsels and both f. per. really like the carpet. Will that cause a problem when we get rid of it? |

| The umbrella mushroom fell off its rock onto the carpet. Managed to get it away(was just on the outside of tentacles) and put on another rock. It doesn't seem to be looking so great. Is it going to die now too? |

| Hello and welcome to 3reef! I also tried an anenome (bubble-tip) without knowing all the ins- and- outs of the lighting requirements. Unfortunately, mine died. I found that not all LFS are created equal. See if there are any others in your area who can help you out. If not, Take advantage of the advice you can get here from the different members. They will never knowingly steer you wrong. Best of luck with your tank! |
