| Hello Just wanted to say hello. I am new to this forum and purchased a 24 gal Aquapod about 17 days ago. Its running fine and am wondering what type of skimmers that anybody that has a similiar setup is using???? |

| To 3Reef!!! Salutations! Glad to see you found way here!
Welcome to SW hobby.
I really don't think a skimmer is absolutly necessary for a 24 gallon.
Frequent regular water changes with existing filtration is probably adequate with a reasonable fish population and some mature live rock.
Keep us posted on progress...post some pics...

| Yes! another new member to join the 3reef forums! aquapods seem really cool with their integrated hoods and filtration system. In a 24 gallon, most likely you will have a low bioload of fish, so continuous use of purigen or chemi pure along with weekly water changes could let you pass without a skimmer.

Alrighty, then!! |
