| Greetings Greetings, everyone!
First of all, I would like to thank Matt Rogers for inviting me to post here and introduce myself. At first I was a little shy, so it took some motivation.
I have posted very little on these forums and responded no further on several forums not much more than asking an occasional question, but hopefully experiance will build up my knowledge. Hey, I'm only 13!
I have managed to build and maintain a 55 gallon FOWLR tank, with a low weekly allowance of $10 (can't complain!), and whatever my mother decides to give me now and then. I do plan to keep a reef soon in my tank, so when my birthday comes, I'll ask my mom VERY NICELY to give me metal halide lights to keep corals n such and join most of you in the "Reefing" experiance.
But, here on this forum, all I ask you to do is say hello! |

| To 3Reef!!! Salutations! Glad Matt talked you into posting!
Getting into SW reefing is a great learning experience for one your age.
Just was not possible when I was your age (40+ years ago)
May lead you to thoughts of a career somewhere in the field in future.
Got a LFS nearby? --- ask them about a part time job or just volunteer to do some grunt work to gain knowledge.
Good luck.
Wish I was still living with parents that would help pay electric bill....

| Wow, thank you for all the nice comments!!!! Karma for everyone! Yes, an allowance of 10 dollars a week is low, and I'm even amazed at what I've accomplished! but then again, almost everything I own - my tank, skimmer, sump, pump, ect I received on my previous birthday and Christmmas! |
