Question ditomaceous earth pressure filters?

I stumbled onto this site and I can see there are some great setups and aquaria addictions here! I am wondering if anyone can comment on the diatomaceous earth pressure filter by filter one. I saw it advertised on Drs. Foster and Smoth. I have a large prtien skimmer, sump and Eheim Pro III but my fairly maturereef still has more snow than I want.

Just get a Diatom filter been around for 60 yrs and last for ever you really do not want to run one all the time just to clean up once and awhile.. Like blasting the rocks and sand to clean up a tad. But you can or could run a Diatom 24/7 But it will strip the system of everything just about we have 2 here a large X-L and the old smaller one.. I'd never not have one myself.

Thanks, that is exactly what I was hoping to hear. It is advertised to run 2 or 3 hours at a time, which sounds good to me.
