Leave it... That's what I had in my 12 gallon nano dx..... Throw about 8 nassaruis snails and a sea cucumber and call it a day..... You'll be happy with it....

No leave it' the "DSB" has alot of benifits to it
I my self have an avg. 5+ inches in my tank
you have sucha small tank i would suggest in keeping it maybe even adding another inch.
You'd be suprised what lives in that DSB and what it can do for your inhabitents.
