Dirt Sand

Maybe this should be posted in another topic. But my sand on my tank every day seems to get a thick 1/2 a layer of sand. It also tends to brown very easily. Im guessing the brown is from the lights but whats the whole thick layer thing? Also any way to slow it down. Or recommend any fish to shuffle sand. I have a horse shoe crab digging around.

Not sure what you are saying here ? I think you are telling us that everyday your sand looks like it gets a 1/2 deeper because of some stuff growing on top of the sand ? What type of sand did you use when the tank was set up ? Using R.O D/I water and are you testing for Phosphates and nitrates ? What are the calcium and carbonates levels ?

What i meant was my sand gets a 1/2 a layer of clumped sand every day. I dont get more sand just clumps.

Is the sand in little like piles everyday or the sand actualy forms into little sand blaa like clumps can you post a picture ?
