Default Cloudy water from sand.

I know this has been posted before but this one question hasn't been answered. I just added the sand to the tank, it has been running for about 2 days now and maybe a little better. But I am Running a lot of pumps. Should I stop all water flow to let the sand settle. Right now I'm running 2 power heads, fluval 304, and return from a Mag 7.

Default Re: Cloudy water from sand.

personally when i had this happen on my first tank (eclipse 12) I bought a big bag of I think it was cotton padding like you would stuff a pillow with and put that in my eclipse filter location and took out the carbon filter...so that it would catch as much of the junk as possible as the first day totally clogged up my brand new eclipse filter...so with this cotton I was able to change it often till the water was nice and clear..then I put the eclipse filter back in.
