| Re: Salt-Mix Survey I read this several months back (I don't really remember when it first came out, but it was perhaps a year or so ago). *I found it to be very enlightening, and somewhat unnerving. *Considering that we can get very few of these salts in the US, easily, that should make it troublesome for all of us. *Here is the report I am talking about: I know a place to get some of the upper line salts, but price becomes prohibitive. *I've seen Tropic Marin in this country, just not in any LFS near me.
I would be interested in YOUR experiences. *Have any of YOU seen any of the top-line salts in LFS' in your area? *How much were they? I hope this helps someone. [smiley=grin3.gif] Edit: Fix stupid spelling mistake. [smiley=oops.gif]

It's not as popular as Instant Ocean, but I used it for over 3 years on my old tank shown here.
No complaints at all. Mixes faster than I.O. in my experience.
(Removed your double post, FYI - just to keep things clean.) |

| Re: Salt-Mix Survey I've used coralife in FO systems for years. Excellent salt for fish systems. I haven't really used it much for coral/invert ystems though.
Like Matt said, it mixes way quicker then IO and doesn't leave a rust colorred residue afterwords in the mixing vat.
