| Hydrometer Question I use the Coralife Deep Six hydrometer, pictured below...
Has anyone had any luck with this? My LFS told me they read about .0015 low so I've been setting my water to 1.0215 to get a "supposed" 1.023.
Is this really a reliable method though? Thanks.

| If I were you I would buy something that isnt so inaccurate. Ive never used that one in particular but you can find good ones pretty cheap, I wouldnt risk using one you know is not correct.

| Specific Gravity The only one that I know is accurate is the old Aquarium Systems Sea Test. It's the same plastic style, but square and accurate. |

| Are refractometers worth the $40 to $50 bucks? Anybody have one? |

| I used that exact unit to maintain a reading og 1.024. I read about and heard some horror stories about hydrometers, so I decided to order a refractometer for around 50 bux. With the refractometer my result was 1.030.
Cliff notes version, it's worth the money to get the refractometer. |
