   |  Reef Rock $1.25 a Pound Flat Rate Priority Mail Shipping Here is some Diy dry live rock that I made. It is very porous and fully cured. I made this rock in July of 2009 to use in my own aquarium I was planning on setting up, but when it came time to do so I decided not to use it.The rock has just been sitting around since then. If using this to set up a new tank I suggest adding a couple small pieces of live rock and live sand to seed this rock with bacteria and help with coralline growth. I made the rock using Portland cement, crushed oyster shells, sand, and rock salt.
