| What to stock in fuge? Hey all,
Besides the usual LR and LS, what do you stock in your fuges, in terms or macro (specifically), and critters (pods, inverts, etc)?
EDIT: forgot to add, what is your lighting schedule (same a main tank or reverse or 24/7), and type of light for the fuge?
thanks!

| I mix and match the macro in my fuges. I put a little of every algea I can get my hands on.
Becareful though be cause some macros take alot of calcium to grow.
My lights are on 24/7 so nothing spawns

| How is it going?
As far as a refugium goes, you can go as big or as small as you want to in terms of size. Then you would add light to match the size of refugium. If you are using caluerpa, then it is best to leave lights on 24/7 so as not to have an algae bloom in your tank. Critters such as, blue leg and red reef hermits are a wise choice. Also, cerith, astrea, nassarius, turbo, and bumblebee snails work as well. Possibly sand sifting, brittle or serpent stars, and emerald or sally lightfoot crabs and urchins too.
good luck |

| If I may try to answer for mr bear
Some Caulerpa spread by asexual growth from spores. They can release a large numbers of spores that turns the aquarium water a white green color.
I believe this is what he was refering to.

| So by running a 24/7 lighting regime, the caulerpa will not get horny and bukkake all in the water?
Is it the same case with cheatomorpha? |

| No, the Chaetomorpha does not do this. Which is why it is preferred by some people over all the rest.
