Default Thinking of starting a Fuge

OK, So I now know how important they are...

Here is my problem.
I dont have a tank that is drilled, and I dont have any room on the back for an overflow. I could remove the HOB Media filter I just added to free up 6", but only if the overflow is needed.

I was looking at this one BIY
REFUGIUM FILTER KIT FOR REEF AQUARIUM 10 GALLON KIT - eBay (item 360045299939 end time May-21-08 18:22:08 PDT)

And thinking of DIY
Creation of the fuge pic thread

Both mention a Overflow or drilled tank.

What are my options here ?

\Confused.

Single best thing you could ever add to the system.. You don't use a sump ? if the tank is on a stand ? just move it out from the wall enough to use a HOB style fuge .

I suspect it is , it has that green look to it from the edges. However, I'm not looking to tear down the tank at this point.

Thanks

Buddy it it where me and It's not But I'd get a 10 under that tank and use it as a sump pull that power filter and then skimmer put a HOB refugium and a better skimmer in the sump using a HOB overflow and a mag 7 for the return pump.

\Shrug.

Your probably right, but thats like starting over again. I can hear the wife now.... " You Wanna WHat #@#@"

I may need to get by with the 10 gallon with using the Overflow and preparing it for future use. Just having the extra 10 gallons help a little doesnt it ?

OK Tangster I have been looking around. If I understand this correctly I need an overflow that can keep up with the 700 Gph of the Mag 7.
Something like this
CS100 SIPHON OVERFLOW BOX by CPR Aquatic - AquaCave# , I have constraints witht he dimensions so this fits. Seemes pricy though.

So I may take the leap soon, but in stages. I still need to upgrade my light to.

So if I get a 10 Gallon. use an overflow like above, Mag 7 Pump, and swap the Aquaclear Power filter for this. Would this be a good start ? I cant trash another 200.00 skimmer right now to get a different one, so I will need to make due with the CPR II.

I was looking at this one
Acrylic Wet

Couple questions
1.) Should I add the cube of Bio Balls to the Sump ?
2.) Should I add Sand and LR to the Sump?
3.) What else ?
