sump/refugium housing getting mold

    I opened up my custom made housing for my sump and noticed green mold on sides and lid.. do I need more ventilation? ?

    Yes, definitely. Without adequate ventilation, the evaporation from the sump is keeping the humidity way too high in there.

    Can this cause any harm to tank?

    Don't really know about the tank, but you should never allow mold to exist anywhere in your home as it can become a serious health hazard to humans and household pets.

    Yes having a 2 yr old and dogs in the house its already been cleaned best I can. Guess ill drill some side holes...
