Hmm. During the summer months here in NY we have had about 5 power outages. But where do I get that switch you are talking about? Here is a shot of my tank.

Very nice tank Congrats on being a member!

Check with an electrician or at a Home Depot, if there is one near by, and they can direct you on what you need.

This is the feed from the display and the first chamber for the skimmer before going to the refugium. I have replaced the braided intake with a 1" intake from the Amiracle overflow. Thanks Matt!

Ball valve to control the return to the display. The Mag 7 return pump is perfectly matched to my 1" intake and Amiracle prefilter and the ball valve remainns fully open. I close it when I turn off the pump and clean the sump/refugium to prevent any backflow. There is a 1/16th inch hole on the return line just at the water line inside the display tank to break the siphon. There is enough freeboard in the 29 gallon to handle the back flow before the siphon breaks.

No it is redundant and added to the two heaters I have for the main display. Because it is a remote volume of water I added that one.

I have a 300 watt heater in my sump, and it seems to keep everything good.
Do a refugium under the tank next to my sump. I think it would make my life easier..
