refugium won't fit I need to take off my back middle brace of my stand. I built my fuge, and it's not going to waste. I plan on putting the brace back on after I get the refugium under the tank. Any good advice. _________ &&Right now I'm in the middle of a conversion from reef to Discus/ planted aquarium. Hair algae beat me down. Maybe a nano in the future. Everything screwed up so I'm converting to FOWLR. Wish me luck.

Re: refugium won't fit Can you lower the water level to reduce the pressure on the tank until you get things squared away with your refugium? Measure twice and cut/order once, eh? _________ Just tryin to recreate God's perfection in a glass bowl. 20 Gallon Reef W/Live Rock, mated pair of Maroon Clowns, Softies, 110 watts PC 10,000k lighting, and skimmer.

Re: refugium won't fit Is the fuge too big or is sump in way? If you are removing the brace lowering the water helps. I would look into wedgeing a 2x4 or something in place but not in the way of you placing the fuge sort of like moving a beam in a house when finishing a basement. If the sump is in the way I would move the sump you will have less chance of disaster. _________ Starting over with a 210 RR from All Glass, Lifereef Berlin sump, skimmer (installed) and calcium reactor (ordered). Aquatraders Catalina 72" 3x400 mh 10 k/4x96 watt blue PC, Closed Loop with Little Giant 4MDQX-SC and 2- 3/4 Seaswirls.

Re: refugium won't fit thats the way i had to do mine. drained water as low as i could go.then put in temp support. in my case the glass was exactly the same width as the stand(in between supports) so i had to notch out a 1/2" of the upper and lower tank frame from the 2x4 supports. _________ 135g 3" SB 3- 400w MH, 2 65w PC actinic, 2 10K PC, 40g refugium, EV-180 PS ,Mag 18 ret,1700 PH,2 maxi 1200's air water and ice 5 stage RO/DI
