here is the info from the website that goes with the numbers from the picture I posted above.
  1. 4-way adjustable skimmer gate prevents fish from entering filter.
  2. Quick change pre-filter makes cleaning simple.
  3. Heater or Optional Protein Skimmer chamber.
  4. 4. Bio-Aire Drip-tray distributes water evenly over biological filtration and chances aeration.
  5. High surface area biological media.
  6. Air-injection n ozzle.
  7. Media tray for chemical and carbon filtration.
  8. 350 gph submersible pomp.
  9. Clear slot to view water level in filter.
  10. Turbulence manifold for circulation unsurpassed by any other build-in filter.
I also thought about you option and if that will work I will go for that. Does anyone else think that will work?

nope.. it would have to be plumbed from the aquasystem (the thin modified wet/dry built in to the back of the tank). canopy won't allow for a side OFB. maybe an overflow hole could be drilled in the first chamber, and the return drilled above the second? how would that look?

thanks

I am hoping one of the 3 reef pros will help us out that just has not read this thread yet. I like you idea also. I will ask one of my local reef keeper freinds also to get an idea. If I find out anything I will let you know.

Thumbs up Spiral this is for you.

Spiral,

Okay I talked with several people and they had the same answer. You will get your source / intake water from the prefilter side of the system to supply the refugium. So from the below picture on my tank it is the far right side just before the white filter pad. You will then pump the water from the the refugium back to the far left side of the system which will then be pumped into the main tank.

The other option I was given was to remove the bio balls and turn that into the refugium. I have not decided as to which way i am going to go.

I hope this makes sense. I am going to work on mine as soon as I can. I just got my tank today so I have alot of other work to do.
