i used the blue cement and it still leaks right where it's connected to my check valve. isn't your check valve supposed to be on the return line....just checkin. My check valve is threaded but I have 2 female adapters on each side of it. That is where it leaks. Am I supposed to put a male adapter in the threaded part and then run it to my vinyl tubing.

Use teflon tap.
the valve is on the input pipe so when the electricity goes out the tank will not siphon back into the tank.
I don't use one because I drilled a small hole into the pvc pipe just above the water line to stop a siphon.

i have a overflow box so do I even need a check valve on my intake.

Hey Naut,
The pic was taken with tap water for testing the plumbing. I dthink it just was camera angle. I'll get anodther pic up for ya soon.
