my brother has 110 gal fowlr for now, plans on having corals soon. we're trying to make it a diy project. we're gonna buy the tank then build out the inside w/ acrylic or plexi. How big of a tank should we start w/? what gph should return pump be? any good designs to recommend? and what size and type of skimmer?
any input would be much appreciated.

I personaly like using the half of the DT ratio. I dont recommend plexi/acrylic with glass. The return pump really depends on you and what kind of filteration your going to have. For ex, I have a 90g DT and I use a Magdrive 18 that pushes 1800gph. If your planning on having a refugium as the main filteration, then you must slow down the flow. Luna
