Light for fuge?

Ok, my options for lighting (24"x4" fuge area), are:
use what I have now,
A. 18" old 50/50 blulb fixture
B. 24" actinics, fixture with two of them, old.
C. Buy one of the mini Jalli or Coralife fixtures. Figure this route would be betetr than replacing any of the above, get a new compact fixture with bulbs a little more.
D. Go to Lowes/Home Depot and put something together. If so, what? Be specific puhlease!

fluorescents with a light spectrum in the range of 6000°-8000°K.

I am just using a NO fluorescent that came with the fixture, and while it works, I will probably upgrade the bulb in time to a plant grow bulb. The algae is not spreading as fast as I would like.

Allaboutfish37....is a plant grow bulb in the temp range you mentioned? if you know.....just curious

The grow bulbs are usually like 4500K.....but you can find nice halides and cool PC's sometimes....i found a 12w watt PC that was only 20" long with a CT of 6500K once...only $40! I love Home depot.
