| Help building Refugium I have a 20 gal glass tank i wanted to make into a refugium. *I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for what to make the baffles out off. *I was thinking to use acrylic because it would be easy to cut and shape, but what do I use to attach it to the glass. *Will silicone work?? Any help would be great
The above refugium is going under a tall 30 gal. If you guys have any suggestions on a over flow and a flow rate for the return pump. Thanks again

| Re: Help building Refugium Silcone is fine I used glass but acrylic will work too. As for flow rate you want as slow a flow as to let the fuge do its thing.it depends on how is going to be set up in your system.Do you have a sump? Or is it going to be a stand alone fuge? _________ 135g 3" SB 3- 400w MH, 2 65w PC actinic, 2 10K PC, 40g refugium, EV-180 PS ,Mag 18 ret,1700 PH,2 maxi 1200's air water and ice 5 stage RO/DI |

| Re: Help building Refugium I just made one myself....I use glass aquarium with plexiglass baffles, attached with silicone. Just make sure the plexiglass is not so thin as to flex with the water flow or it can pull out of the silicone. _________ I Love My Sig By John Hawkins!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Re: Help building Refugium I was just going to use a refug alone, no sump. I was going to add live rock to the main tank and refug and later add a protien skimmer. Any suggestions would be great. |
