Thanks for the replys!
After doing a lot of adjusting with the ball valve, I think I finally got the water level to stabilize. Its been running for about an hour now at the same exact water level!
I think I was just underestimating the power of the Rio 2500. It really flows A LOT of water!!!
I will post some pics of my setup next week when I get the salt water, agragonite, and a few rocks to get the cycle started.
This is my first reef tank, so I am taking it very slow!
Heres my setup:
-36 gal Bowfront (fits the space I have best)
-Cheep stand with no room underneath (next project is to build new stand)
-Current USA Sundial T5 HO 30" (2-24w 10,000k, & 2-24w 460nm)
-10 gallon simple DIY sump
-18w DIY sump light made out of florescent flood light from Home Depot
-Rio 2500 for return from sump
-AquaC Remora Modified to work as In-sump w/Maxi-jet 1200 (bought it before I decided to go w/sump)
-Natural Wave Timer w/2 maxi-jet 600's & 1 maxi-jet 1200
-Ebay RO/DI filter
I plan on putting saltwater in it on Monday. |
