chateomorphia died

I had some chatemorphia in my fuge for like 5 months and it started dying like 5 days ago...i think that was the cause of a huge hair algae bloom that i'm still trying to get rid of.what could of caused it...Could of when my sps corals, my brain and elegant coral died they released something to kill the chateo.

how was your iron levels-were you feeding it iron? Large amonia spikes can cause the weed to die, but that probably didn't happen with a few dead corals. Was it growing in your fuge? I have to throw away handfuls about twice a month. Cheato needs nutrients to survive, if you have a massive/awesome skimmer, it will deplete too many nutrients not allowing it to survive.

calcium also plays a role in cheato, but I'm sure you all rady knew that HL, and if you didn't, you won't listen to me, so remind me again why I'm even typing this post?

the jellyfish is still alive so far....no i wasn't feeding it iron i didn't think i needed to because of the nutrient's in the water...It seemed to be growing . Yeah i already knew that and i will listen to u..
