If your able to lower the corals, try that and decrease the time the lights are on. Start at six hrs a day for a week, then 8 for a week than 10 for a week and so on until you reach the hrs you want.

I believe for the corals you have that the t5's will be enough. I could be wrong. It depends on how tall your tank is. Also I would acclimate to be on the safe side. I would run your Actinics for the full length of time you usually run your pc's and gradually (every few days) increase time with your other lights (10k, 12k etc). I would start with about 4 hours and go from there.
I don't think it is bad to mix pc and t5 however you probably don't need to keep the pc going too. You will find t5s to be very bright

Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I am always open to learning

Good luck with your tank.

you coulg go with 130 watt Actinic, 2 actinic T5, 2 10000K t5, and 2 10000K halide. I think that would blow my eyes out

Default few more questions.

unless i can mount the halide in my tank i dont think there is enough room. i wish!!. That way i wont have to decide what is brighter. Its really bright with both pc and t5 on at the same time. just plugged them in. More light is better than less, am i correct? Time to bring home some new corals, gotta get the tank ready for the vid contest. that ro/di unit could really come in handy. my tank is rather deep 24" whats the deepest you all would place anything? is there anything i can put on the bottom? only plan on softies, and lps
