too much light?

I have decided that im going to get two 2 bulb light fixtures so that I can put actinic bulbs in one and daylight in the other and have them both on different timers. is it a problem if the actinics are always towards the front of the tank and the daylights towards the back or vice versa? Should they really be staggered or anything?

If you had more than two lights, I would recommend staggeing them, otherwise you temd to notice the changes in color from the bulb kelvin that may become noticeable and not very attractive.

I would try to place them in the middle. Is this a retro-fit lighting or did it come with the tank?

They are two, 2X t5 bulb Fixtures. I read earlier thread

yes i was going to get two 2x t5 bulb fixtures because the four bulb fixture only has one plug so I cant put them on seperate timers unless I change the wiring, which i might end of doing if the two units would not be ideal

Another thought is that if i dont need to have the acticnics come on first and go off last then I dont need two timers. thoughts if they just all come on and off at the same time?
