    My 4 bulb T5 just crapped out. I need a good light that will ne dependable and grow corals. I was looking at the reefbreeders fixtures, anyone running one? Also, if you can suggest a better light that would be great!

    I'm gonna hitchhike on this thread. I'm looking to replace mine here soon as well. I only run (2) T5's. I was thinking of staying with T5's but going up to a six bulb.

    Great! We can find a good light together. Show us a good light guys im looking for something with a built in timer controller. Any help is greatly appreciated here. My dt dimentions are 30x12x22deep

    It depends on your budget. What were you looking on spending? And what size tank do you have?

    I went from a 4 bulb T5 to a DIY LED setup and love it.

    The LED aquarium business is constantly changing and there are many more options available now from when I made my setup a year and a half ago.

    First off, are you a person who likes to make your own stuff? DIY can net some great results for a fair price and allows for customization and easy repair if need be. The heatsinks are starting to look more professional for a clean finished look.     If you want an assembled professional fixture, tons out there right now. Just like T5 fixtures, the price will vary on type of LED, controllability, finished look, and dimming capabilities.

    No matter what route you go, just make sure to go full spectrum.

    Since you're in the market for a fixture, I'd say yes, go LED.
