Default New lights showing up tom!!! need help on fan placement.

My new lights will be arriving tom, for now i got two Hamilton Technology 400w MH reef stars. guy said i need to get fana as i have a canopy it's open on the back so i need some idea on where to put them, do i cut the 4.5in hold on the sides of the canopy and have one blowing in and one out, see how that works or do i just mount them on the back of the open canopy??

in my canopy there are 4 fans. one on each short side of the canopy, one in, one out. the other two are on top of the canopy, both out, heat rises. good air flow is good for the tanks O2.

good timing, mine is open in the back too but has several slots on top. I will mount the fan in the back and have it blow in hoping it will drive the heat out thru the slots (heat rises). We'll see how it will work. I would like to keep the fan (single) as inconspicious as possible.

my canopy is not open in the back, it has 4 sides.

just drilled the holes for the two 120mm fans from ice cap going to see what they do and maybe add two on the top since the back part of my canopy is open. I just got my reefstar 2's today so hopefully will get time to install them in tonight.
