Question Need help with lighting issue

Hello,
I am a new member. I have had a marine aquarium for a little over a year, so I am new to the hobby too. I have a Current Dual Satellite (2X65 watt). I have had it a year and have been pleased with it. A few days ago, my actinic light went out. I thought that it needed a replacement bulb. I purchased a bulb yesterday and the light still does not work. The daylight, lunar light and fan all work. Could it be the ballast that needs to be replaced? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Kathryn

Very good lighting systems, I have a corallife pc fixture that had a similar problem, and it ended up being the ballast, which I replaced for $20 on ebay.
You might also check for loose wiring or corrosion which i have also had problems with due to salt creep. You might also check petsupplyliquidator.com, they have very good deals on diy lighting.Good luck

Thank you for the information. I will check ebay and petsupplyliquidator.com. I did check for corrosion and did not see any. I do have some salt creep. It is probably the ballast. Appreciate your help.
