need advice

i cannot afford a new hood and lights. i only want to keep soft easy to care corals not the hard to care for ones. i read that soft corals require low to med light. i have a basic hood with 2 18inch fluorescents. the actual bulbs were upgraded for my cichlids(when i had fw) i know they aren't good enough but i want advice on what bulbs to replace them with. any suggestions

Sorry but You are going to need a new hood if you want to keep any corals, The
" recommended " amount of lighting is at least 1.5 Watts/gallon to 6 Watts/gallon you have 2 15watt bulbs on a 55 gallon tank so that only gives you .55 watts per gallon.
