Default minimal amount of lighting

I am in the process of ridding my Derbesia algae and I'm running out of ideas...
I have started to limit my lighting in my new nano cube , the tank has about 3.5-4 watts per gal, but I fear of harming my assorted mushrooms...

What is the least amount of lighting I can run w/o damaging the mushrooms?

Are your shrooms the only coral in your tank?

Why would you be worried about hurting the shrooms?

Yes, they are the only corals I have right now.
I have been leaving the lights off a lot lately, I know the fish will be okay, but worry about the assorted shrooms are suffering do to only a few hours of lighting...

(FYI, I'm not only doing lighting efforts to kill the hair)

Also, I should maybe note that there are a few baby shrooms too that I worry about lack of lighting...

They will be just fine. They are a pretty tough coral( a little too tough).

Mushrooms are generally a very light forgiving coral.

I only have the stock 24w light over my 12 gallon NanoCube.

No mushrooms, but lots of zoa's, kenya trees, frogspawn. Even two small BTA's.

Has been going great now since last June.

Here are some pics:

I think that as far as lighting goes in a Nano...you can get by with much less then you might require for a larger tank...esp. for softies.

Good Luck!
