Default MH lighting....costs!

I hear that MH lights make your electricity bills go through the roof!!!

is this true?

Not so bad.. Depends on how you set them up.. I run mine off of 240V and less then 1 amp per right at .5 amp per transformer and on 120 1.3 amps.. a Mag 7 pulls as much nearly.. I run my pumps and ozone and heck everything I can on 240 v. cost 1/2 as much then 120.. If you need ? P/M me and I can hook you up with electronic ballast that will be 120 or 240V and on 240 they pull like .2 amps like a 65 watt bulb..
