Would this work for a reef tank. I don't know about the bulb, but what about the fixture?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think you can get the sodium vapors in the correct color spectrum for our reef tanks. _________  I Love My Sig By John Hawkins!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, *better go with MHs. HPS are not MH! _________ Just tryin to recreate God's perfection in a glass bowl. 20 Gallon Reef W/Live Rock, mated pair of Maroon Clowns, Softies, 110 watts PC 10,000k lighting, and skimmer.  | |

The Kelvin rating for this type of bulb is very low, less than 4000k. This is a very yellowish type of light and you cannot put a metal halide light in with this type of ballast either. Sorry
