Question looking for a hood

Hello, about 10 years ago I bought a TruVue hex tank at a garage sale. I have no idea how old it is.The parts are getting old and brittle. The current issue I have right now is with the lighting hood. The ballast is old and falling apart.I have gone to the pet store to find replacement parts without luck. Does anyone know how to get ahold of TruVue? I thought they may have a website where I can buy replacement parts, but my search hasn't panned out. If anyone has any information , I would greatly appreciate it.

Can't help you with TruVue but to get replacement parts for the hood you might want to try an electrical or light supply shop. Ballast is probably an off the shelf type.

i think your better off getting a new lighting fixture if its 10 years old!, let us know what type of tank you have, salt or freshwater. Also if its salt, i can help some, but let us know if its a reef tank, fish only, and what type of filtration, and amount of Live rock and live sand, well be glad to help!!!
