Default lighting question vho vs pc
Hi,
I currently own an Icecap 660 with 4 vho bulbs = 440 watts. I am setting up a new 90 gallon reef tank with a mix of soft and hard corals and would like advice if I am okay with what I got or should I purchase Power compact lights.

How do the vho's compare with 4 x 96 watt pc's. Is it worth putting my already made vho canopy aside for a new pc setup?

Personally, if you already have the VHO's then I would not switch to PC's. Switching to PC's would be a downgrade in your case. If anything I would add some halides if you are planning on keeping any high light requirement SPS. Halides are definetly worth the investment, especially when you consider the lumen to watt ratio. Hope this helps.

1 question...i have a 55 gal glass tank and its a bit high...i have 4 65 w pc and i have seen groth in my acros...i bought 1 brown and its becoming neon green...i dont think they all need mh to be happy...thats just my opinion i also have a few clams that like it...but i dont know...
