4. Hamilton Reefstar SE MH - 175w - 14K Bulb
5. Lighting does the trick. I decided to eliminate flourescent as I dont like them being replaced and causing algal blooms. Everything was spreading under the MH, including my galaxea sp.

Unfortunately I had to tear it down to remove a pest and am now rebuilding. I will post a thread on this as soon as I get my tank re-aquascaped and corals settle in again.

Yup, even thought i went down in wattage, because of how much reflection the t-5hos have, its almost, in my opinion 2x as much light. When i had only 2 bulbs on it was as bright as all 4 of my PCs.

The t-5hos are great!

8- 40 galllon breeder tanks with a divider in the middle making 16- 20 gallon square short tanks.

2- 400 watt mh - adding another 400w mh in a week or two
12- 5 ft. Vho 6 of which are 50/50 and 6 that are super actinic

I love the light, but I also have my lights pretty high above the tank... That's a whole other issue, that I think hasn't been mentioned yet. The distance off the top of the tank that the lights are going to be will change the intensity at water depth. I keep my corals in the tanks that are under the mh, and I do have a couple frags of Green star polyps and things like that under the 6 bank of vhos.
