Default Light Schedule Dual 175 MH 10,000

Finally got my new light, 4 weeks late. But well worth it!! It has dual 95W VHO Actinic and dual Hamilton 175W 10,000K bulbs, Reflector, and one big Ballast (35 Lbs.). My LFS gave me a nice price of $599.09. He told me for the first week to use the MH only for and hour and a half. Second week 2 hours, and so on. He also said he does not use them more then five hours a day, what is your opinions on this?

Do VHO bulbs really only last 6 months? I will be getting a light meter soon. Sort of a pain, but oh well.

No expeience here with VHO flourescents. NO flourescents and MHs last about a year. Your light meter will tell the whole truth, eh?
