if you are just looking to keep your corals happy, just get a t-5 light. They are around the same as a MH system and produce way less heat. Plus you can get them for around 200 bucks.

i found a japanese company that make a high power led for $100 aus, in the 420nm, and one for $50 in the 430nm. though i think they would only sell in bulk.
