| Middle!
I recently discovered that two (250w MH 10000k) bulbs from two different manufacturers will give a different light in each case. And in some cases even from the same manufacturer. Strange, no??
Aren't watts supposed to be watts and k's supposed to be k's? |

| Tangster hooked me up with a 14K 250w SPS bulb lately.
Does not make tank nearly as "deep blue" as your pic shows.
Looks more like above to naked eye.
Your pic (right) looks more to me like what a 20k would appear. Description Benefits:
South Pacific Sunlight (SPS) Metal Halide bulbs are designed to replicate the beautiful shimmering light of your fish and coral`s natural environment. These bulbs are specifically engineered to enhance the polyp extension, color, and growth of your corals. Unlike some other bulbs, SPS Metal Halide bulbs are manufactured with built-in igniters (starters) that allow them to be used with any type of ballast.
SPS Metal Halide bulbs are ideal for most Acroporas (SPS), Anemones, Clams, Hard Corals (LPS), Leathers, Mushrooms, Polyps, Soft Corals, and Xenia.
Available in 175 watt, 250 watt & 400 watt In your choice of:
Crisp Blue - 10,000k representing 10-30 Ocean Depth Feet (ODF)
Mid Sea Blue - 14,000k representing 30-60 Ocean Depth Feet (ODF)
Deep Sea Blue - 20,000k representing 60-90 Ocean Depth Feet (ODF)
(PM tangster if you want one - ) _________ AG "125," AquaC EV 180, 30 gal sump, "SCWD", 80 lbs LR, CoralSeaLife "Moonlite" Hood, PFO 250W HQI Mini-Pendant (SPS HQI 14000k bulb)
12 Gallon NanoCube - 24w stock PC 50/50 light "...nothing good ever happens fast in a reef tank, only bad things happen fast..."

| What a difference a couple of simple dots (.) can make:
If wastemanagement will permit me, I think it should read like this:
"left and middle. right just too blue. I run a 20k. looks similar to the left." |
