oh, and no bleaching or burning, as the bulbs are 14000k so theres a little less intensity given off as opposed to a 6500k bulb. As i know it, coral burning is when corals that are sensitive to high aounts of light are put in, well, strong lighting or are not "acclimated to the light".

I would go down to the 2x150 for that tank. The other hood will be overkill. You could also use 2x175s or 2x250s the latter especially makes sense if you plan to run 20k bulbs to compensate for the lower PAR output.

Congrats on your recent acquitition. I dont understand something, How are going to fit a 72" lighting fixture on a 72 gal tank? If I remember correctly, a 72" fits a 120-180 gal tank.

I was wondering that too. Thats why I asked about the tanks. I figured it would be on a tank that wasn't in his sig line
