Default 75gal lighting opinions

right now i have what originally came with the tank. 1 bulb light. i am wanting the moon lights because of how great they make the tank look, but haven't any idea as to what to look for in one. i am only wanting a fish only tank as of right now. also, does the lighting affect what type of hood is on the tank? i only have the glass top and want to switch to a hood.

For a fish only tank I would recommend a compact flourescent fixture with the moonlights because like you I think they look neat also
I will give you these links to look at to give you an idea of what CF's look like and about how much they cost. I am going to assume that it is a standard 75 gal tank which is 48" long. These lights are made to stand on top of the tank and really aren't designed to fit in a hood. But look around you might find something that fits into your idea of what you need.
