Just Id'd this algae as Culerpa Verticillata I've been fighting this algae for about two years now after it hitchhiked in. Manuel removal is a down-hill battle. This stuff is tenacious as all get out!!! If anyone has any suggestions on how rid my tank of this nuisance, Culerpa Verticillata, do tell. I've read that a vlamingi tang should eat it all up, but my tank is only 30 gallons (tiny). I'm thinking of "borrowing" one for a while, but I want to try other options first. My water parameters are great, but maybe it's the algae keeping 'em this way. I swap 5 gallons of water a month, my skimmer works very well, carbon is changed monthly, corals are all very happy when they're not overgrown...Also, I tried a seahare but it never ate the algae so I returned him/her.
