More pictures did i hear someone say? ![]() BTW Sorry Steve. This wasn't a planned visit. Just visiting one of my gf's many thousand of relatives near by, and my gf let slip that we were just around the corner from the market. So obviously had to go visit ![]() So anyway...here's a few pics. Like i say, i wasnt there very long and most of the time was spent getting a few bits and pieces for a lil project that ill make a separate thread for in a min. Enjoy..... Some Gui (turtles for those who speak english) ![]() More turtles ![]() A giant soft shell albino turtle thingy ![]() Boxes of fish on the floor that line most of the "streets" of the market ![]() Tubs of various lizards, snakes, giant insects, spiders, crayfish etc (anything small enough to fit in them) ![]() Same as above ![]() Anyone for a peacock? ![]() Or some kind of white fox? ![]() Or if those arent your cup of tea, how about a carved elephant's tusk? ![]() A box of crocodiles/alligators perhaps? ![]() Maybe a crate of scorpions for sir? ![]() A tank of dyed frogs? ![]() Zen zere ish no pleashing you! Maybe some hybrid/deformed, what once looked like Bolivian rams (i think), now called "Golden balls"? ![]() Its not all bad of course. Sadly i didnt manage to capture any pics of some of the fantastic reef tanks set up there as my battery died. But i did manage to get a snap of this nice looking freshwater planted tank though ![]() So there you go. Hoope you enjoyed. Just a few more pictures to give you a glimpse of fish keeping (amongst other stuff) in China. Ill make a new thread about the brucie bargains i got for my lil project. |

Guangzhou has been the import/export trading centre of PRC on dry/wet onamental aqautics trades for over two decades but for the really serious and 'educated' hobbyists, Beijing is the place and Hong Kong is the source for the import of over 90% of the high-end, high cost wet and/or dry items.

cant bring wet goods from Hong Kong across the border, but have visited the HK market and recently the exchange rate has meant dry goods in HK are better value than dry goods in Fangcun. and without doubt, the range of imported high end dry goods, brand names etc is better in the 2 places you indicate Steve | |
