| Plankton | Hi Folks, I've been on a break from reefkeeping for almost 10 years now. I'm getting ready to make some arago rock and put together a 90 gal. reef. This is probably not the place to ask this question, but since I was reading up on the latest to methods to make rock, I thought I'd ask.....How much has changed over the years...any old timers still out there with long time reefs? Thanks, Doug |

| Astrea Snail | I dont know how this is for the environment but... could you just put the pieces in a pond or even better a river and let them cure in there in the constant water flow? I think thats what im gonna do. Dont tell the EPA!!! I want to make some BIG pieces... |

Yes you can, just soak them a little while in ro water before adding them to the tank. It is really no different then putting a limestone rock in the water so no EPA problems | |

| Plankton | Very nice rock! I have made some of this also. I used solar salt and crushed oyster shell. The salt melts during the cure and creates very porous rock! |
