have a prism deluxe on a 46bow, and a coralife cs 220 on a 75. It was the old prisms that were loud -my buddy had one - it was a 747 in yer house. The prism deluxe (not the pro) and it is easily much more quiet than my cs 220 as long as you leave the airhose connected to the collection cup. Its pros would be that it is slimline, has a decent collection cup size, can run media in a basket wich helps eliminate micro bubbles in the tank and includeds a surface skimming cup which greatly increases its ability to skim. The down side is it cannot skim anywhere near as well as my cs220. Unfortunately the 220 is huge, loud, and produces micro bubbles (perhaps this will go away after long term use). I paid 89.99 for my prism and 145.00 for my cs220. The cs125 is 109.00 on bigals. If space behind the tank is a concern - I would even recommend the prism but you should add an airline adjustment between the cup and the unit, fill the media basket with purigen, and prop the skimmer up so it sits a half inch higher on the tank (allows it to run at a higher throughput). The prism pro is junk - small collection cup, weak airline regulation, overflows - should be totally redesigned. If you have the space go with the coralife - tons better for 20-50 dollars more.

+to that. I just got a prizm deluxe for my 100 gallon, and I would say for my first skimmer it is ok. I guess I have the new version because it is not noisy. But it is a pain to get dialed in when you first get it running, and everytime you want to empty the cup you have to readjust the flow. The suface skimmer attacment didnt work for me. I couldnt get enough flow throught the skimmer to pull water off the suface, the attachment was just full of water, lol. If I could do it again, I wouldnt get it. It is like one step up from a seaclone, and thats not saying much .
