Wet vs. Dry Skimmate

    What is dry skimmate and wet skimmate? Also what does dry skimmate remove and what does wet skimmate remove?

    Most people like dry skimmate because there just taking out less water out of the tank. Wet skimmate produces more water content. I prefer midway, not too dry and not too wet.

    They both remove same the problem is dry is more efficient.

    both do the same. i prefer inbetween.

    dry is when the cup rarely gets any water but the upper tube is caked with gunk. to dry and the skimmer isnt working

    wet is the cup is filled with water and the upper tube has a thin layer of gunk. to wet and you drain your tank
