reefersRus is moving on up!

Default Top ten list of skimmers???

I have a 40 gallon breeder tank that is up and cycling (sigh).

I keep getting conflicting reviews on skimmers. So if you guys could help me out I would be so greatful

I am looking for a good skimmer that will work well with no mods and not break down.

So I figured a top ten (or five) list would be wonderful. Thank you.

Loved AquaC Remora in 55. (drain plug option in collection cup a must!)

EV-180 in 125 works flawlessly.

Guess I am just partial to AquaC (which are all I have ever used, except for old skilter)

I've been thru Via Aqua Multi Skimmer with the handy dandy UV built in(Junk) to the Jebo=Junko, then on the the Seaclone(crap also) then Finally turned on to the AquaC Remora and I absolutely love it, except I still have millions of bubbles, but I'm over it. It gets a lot of nasty green to almost brown gunk out. Yes, Omard the drain is a good thing to have! Ya know, with the money I spent on those pieces of chit, I could have bought the AquaC and some other stuff with it..........

The DAS is a hell of a little skimmer we use them on a few tanks they kick some butt for their size .. I have never used a HO skimmer I won't use one But a ETSS man I have been for yrs and trs But I went to a Bullet last yr a great skimmer I use a deltec and several others around clients and such At the end of the day a deltec I think is way way way overly priced and rated compared to and used as real world skimmer.. Took a Deltec out and put a comparable Bullet 1 in the and that bullet skimmed out stuff the owner said he had never seen before (: Said it stank ??? and was really black and thicker then his old Del ever was.. But I thought this was a HOB skimmer thread ?
