Skimmer set up

My skimmer doesn't put out that much skimmate. Is it set up wrong? Or maybe my tank doesn't produce that much waste?
Should you try to get alot of water through the output or just a trickle? Should the airline value be almost closed, almost open, or somewhere in the middle? It seems to be doing a good job. As the tank looks so well but how do you know when it's set up real good? Ya' know?

How long has your skimmer been running?

Each model has its own break-in period. You will heve to play with the gang (air) valve until you reach the right air flow to create a "dry" foam.

If you don't have much bioload you may not have much to skim.
