I just turned on my skimmer and the tank now has a lot of air bubbles shooting out of the nozzles why? As soon as I unplug the skimmer the bubbles stop. I never changed anything with the set up I just simply unpluged it for about 2 weeks while I treated the tank. Can anyone help? |

The bubbles sometimes go away when the skimmer goes through the "break-in" period. If not,try placing a sponge on the outlet of the skimmer. That should do the trick. Luna

I have a sponge where it dumps back into the wet dry Now I'm noticing like slime comming out off all my corals floating to the top of the tank. Should this be happening? Am I hurting the tank or corals? |

Its filling up with foam like in about 5 to 10 min? I have to keep dumping it out.

Sometimes you have to adjust the flow to stop the bubbles. Also as mentioned above a break in period often is associated with microbubbles initially and then they disipate!

The tank has been running for 4 1/2 months I was running the skimmer after like 2 1/2 months then I bought a fish that had a parasite or somthing and he infected my whole tank I treated the tank for a while. I bought new fish and everything was perfect. I dont know the name of it. I'll try to post a pic. |
