Default Skimmer for Fluval Vicenza

Hi everybody I’m new to your site and need some input on protein skimmers. I have a Fluval Vicenza 46 gal bow with 2” thick rims around the top of the tank and an opening of 3” wide by 2” tall. Are there any HOB skimmers that could be modified to fit these specs?

Thanks

Default Skimmer for Fluval Vicenza

Hey, I am still somewhat new my self, Welcome.
If I answer whith what little knowledge I have on this, can I call you Chuck instead of Snuggles ?

So Chuck, here is what I have picked up. There are actually many HOB filters. Most of the gang here are hard cores sumpers and all. But with there help I have come to the following.

YOU MUST Skim..

So I have a 46 Box as well and I will migrate my 46 gallon corner to the bow. Before I do, I am retrofitting it with the following.

CPR Bak-Pak Dual Pak Protein Skimmer (Just keeps getting good reviews. The Octopus is cheaper, but always back ordered)
CPR Bak-Pak Dual Pak Protein Skimmer (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Protein Skimmers > Hang On > Venturi )

ViaAqua Multi-Skimmer Deluxe w/ 5W UV Sterilizer (I like the mechanical filter and UV additions)
ViaAqua Multi-Skimmer Deluxe w/ 5W UV Sterilizer (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Protein Skimmers > Hang On > Venturi )

Via Aqua Poly Reactor ( For various media, Phosphates for now)
Via Aqua Poly Reactor: Aquarium Equipment and Supplies - Aqua Buys

Here are a few to research, good luck Snuggly bear...

The seaclone looks like I can modify the "J-tube" to fit my specs. I know everybody hates the seaclone, but it has to be better than no skimmer. Thanks for the info.
