| Skimmer for 120g Ok, I'm looking for a skimmer (in sump) for a new setup. It's going to be a 120g, w/40g sump. I have a budget of up to $240. I heard that I shouldn't skimp here. I was looking at the Red Sea Prism, but have read that it can be a bit touchy and difficult to setup. I really don't want to upgrade later on. Any suggestions?

| Re: Skimmer for 120g I definitely woundn't go with a Prism on a tank that size.
Since you have a sump, get one that can go in it.
For that money, I suggest a Turbo-Flotor or a Euro-Reef 'ES' Series off the top of my head. |

| Re: Skimmer for 120g The LFS recommended the ASM G2 dia 6.5", ht 21.25", footprint 10"x11", sedra 3500 pump.
I guess ASM used to be w/ EuroReef but they split off from them w/ their own design. Their models are modeled from EuroReef. |

| Re: Skimmer for 120g Forget about the prizm skimmers, they suck are noisy and need constant adjustment. Go with the Remora skimmers. Check out wetwebmedia.com and see what they have to say about skimmers.
