Default pain in the butt skimmer!

My Berlin Turbo is a pain in the butt! with any change in water level it needs to be fine tuned, with loss of power pump won't restart needs to be tapped on or moved around to restart and adjustments are nuts! I would change it but I have other needs first and when it works it works well. Just would like a little more flexibilty less babysitting!
Side note lost power last night had to monkey with skimmer this morning prompting this tirade thanks for listening.

_________

Starting over with a 210 RR from All Glass, Lifereef Berlin sump, skimmer (installed) and calcium reactor (ordered). Aquatraders Catalina 72" 3x400 mh 10 k/4x96 watt blue PC, Closed Loop with Little Giant 4MDQX-SC and 2- 3/4 Seaswirls.

is it the pump that needs fiddling when power is gone. If so how bout a new pump. I just replaced my pump in th Berlin Classic and now it works better that ever.

The pump needs to be messed with on power loss and the air intake/skimate needs adjustment on level changes and power loss. the system is less then 3 months old and being the turbo it needs a berlin turbo pump with the turbo impeller so changeing the pump shouldn't be needed and is also a pain in the butt trying to find and order one. I figured to get a couple of years out of this one so I wasn't particular about the pump now I am thinking HMMMMMM? lol
Thanks for your response!

Three months? Did you get it new? If so I'd get back in touch with the manufacturer and see what they will do on warranty, if anything. HTH

Is there not a mod for the impeller on that model? I did a quick search and found a impeller MOD. I would check it out

I know the mod you are talking about...

People put the Kent Marine Venturi on the Berlin to get better results. As for the impeller, I believe all Berlins have the better impeller they came out with these days.

Phil I learned a long time ago if you automate (float switch, etc) your evap water replacement, skimmers stay level. FYI.
